Brian Tipper, CPA, CA
Owner
Brian has been an accountant for over 35 years.
He graduated from the University of B.C. in 1979 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He then spent 23 years with a small Vancouver accounting firm, first as an articling student and then as a manager. He received his CPA, CA designation in 1982.
In 2002, he left his job to start his own practice in Vancouver. His practice focuses on providing accounting services to small and medium sized privately owned businesses as well as income tax services to individuals.
Brian will spend his off time golfing, curling or traveling.
Thoa Pattison, CPA, CA
Manager
Thoa grew up in Vancouver where she graduated from Capilano University in North Vancouver with her Bachelor of Business Administration. She then decided to make the trek up to Whitehorse, Yukon in 2009 to live and start articling for her CA.
Thoa obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in 2013. In 2015, after having her first child, she decided it was time to return home to Vancouver. This is when Thoa happily joined Brian Tipper Inc. as a public practice manager.
Thoa works with many individuals and small businesses to assist them with their tax and financial reporting needs. She loves working with newly established businesses and watching them grow each year. When she isn’t working, Thoa is an avid crossfitter, can be found out and about with her two kids, found playing some kind of sport, or in the kitchen experimenting with a new recipe.
Fun fact: Thoa is also a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer.
Simranpreet Kaur
Staff Accountant
Simranpreet is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
She joined Brian Tipper Inc. in 2018 as Staff Accountant and has worked on multiple clients in various industries which includes transportation, law, construction, retail, seasonal, and non-profit organizations.
She has experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, compilation reports, review engagements and tax returns. After her Bachelors’ she is looking forward to continuing her studies to become a CPA.
During her free time, Simran enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Jessica Tipper
Accounting Technician
Jessica has been with the firm since January 2019.
She graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley in December 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
Jessica provides our clients with bookkeeping and payroll services, along with financial statement compilations and tax preparation.
When she is not at the office, Jessica takes Irish dance classes and competes throughout North America.
